Trusted sources are claiming that Canon will soon announce a new PowerShot SX70 HS (PowerShot SX60 HS replacement) superzoom compact camera in the next several days. The details and announcement date is still unknown at the present.

The upcoming Canon PowerShot SX70 HS is expected to feature a 100x optical zoom lens, the current Canon PowerShot SX60 HS ($449 at Amazon, B&H, Adorama) has a 65x Optical Zoom Lens.
