Canon EOS 5DS (R) Successor Rumored to be Announced in Late 2017
I was really surprised when I read this rumor from CanonRumors: Canon EOS 5DS (R) Mark II will probably be announced in late 2017, just before the close of 2017. The rumors also said that Canon will launch only one body to replace both the 5DS and 5DS R. The detailed specs are still unknown, but the Canon EOS 5DS (R) successor is expected to have the same ergonomics and features as the newly released 5D Mark IV.
In late 2017??? It is really too quick to update the current EOS 5DS and 5DS R DSLR cameras. The Canon EOS 5DS (R) DSLRs were announced in 2015, and in my opinion, it is highly likely that Canon will update EOS 5DS (R) as early as in 2018.
But you know, this is just a rumor, NOT confirmed by trusted sources, so it’s best to take this with a grain of salt.
