Zeiss Batis 18mm f/2.8 Lens Coming on April 14, 2016

Currently, Zeiss has two amazing Batis lenses for Sony full frame E-mount cameras: Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2 Lens and Zeiss Batis 85mm f/1.8 Lens. The next Zeiss Batis lens will be the Batis 18mm f/2.8 lens.

According to the report from SonyAlphaRumors, Zeiss will hold a big product announcement event on April 14 at 1:00PM London time, although not 100% confirmed it is highly likely that Zeiss will at least announce the Batis 18mm f/2.8 lens on April 14, 2016. And according to Camera Times, the new Batis 18mm f/2.8 optic lens will feature autofocus technology along with the OLED screen.

In addition, Camera Times also reported that Zeiss will announce 3 new Full-Frame E-mount lenses in 2016, so maybe Zeiss will announce some other great lenses besides the Batis 18mm f/2.8 – Do you think Zeiss will give us a big surprise?

But there are some lenses that are expected by photographers:

  • Zeiss Batis 35mm f/1.8
  • Zeiss 24-70mm f/2 (similar compact size to f/4 version)
  • Sony Zeiss 16-35mm f/2.8
